In this featured video from the 2019 USC Maseeh Entrepreneurship Pitch Competition (MEPC), hear directly from the founders of Apogee Composites (formerly known as AIRBOND) as Mark Anders, William "Bill" Edwards, and David Bender present their vision to transform the composites manufacturing industry through their groundbreaking out-of-autoclave prepreg technology that is designed to lower production costs, streamline processing, and unlock new application possibilities across advanced manufacturing sectors.
Winning the MEPC Competition was more than just recognition; it was a pivotal moment that crystallized Apogee’s value proposition and helped launch the company into what it is today. It gave us a platform to share our mission with a broader audience, validate the technology we had developed in the lab, and provide critical support as we transitioned from lab-based research into commercial-scale production.
Today, Apogee Composite is proud to deliver on that mission with:
12-inch prepreg production in various fibers and resin systems, designed for a stronger product. (60-inch prepreg production will begin in Q1 2026).
Prepreg tolling services, specializing in working with exotic resin systems.
Collaborative R&D services, creating solutions for our clients.
We are honored to look back on our experience with MEPC and this feature as a milestone; one that captured our startup roots and set the trajectory for everything we’ve built since. Today, we’re delivering on that vision every day: one prepreg roll, one adhesive film, and one client solution at a time.
